Just over a year ago, Edlen’s team had just closed the books on the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards celebration at the Los Angeles Convention Center; a lavish, star-studded gala with a Casablanca theme, when a far-away virus impacted the live event industry in a way no one could have imagined.

Fast forward to March 2021 and social distancing protocols gave the Los Angeles Convention Center the opportunity to host the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards show!

With strict COVID protocols in place, this event was produced with guidance from many ZOOM meetings replacing in-person production meetings. Power requirements were extensive, from the outdoor “concert” vignette to a huge “truck farm” where all the production trucks were parked. Three indoor stages allowed the performances to be socially distanced. A media center was set up in a separate hall for all post-performance interviews and “live” event coverage.

Edlen’s electricians were COVID tested throughout the installation process and health screened daily. Edlen was excited to partner with the Los Angeles Convention Center team on a successful GRAMMY Awards show!
