After nine years of hard work and dedication, we are excited to announce that Gary Chinca, Expeditor, retired at the end of December.
Gary has been an integral part of the Edlen San Francisco team since 2015, contributing not only his expertise in expediting deliveries, but also his impressive craftsmanship in woodworking. From building material boxes to shelves and other creative projects, Gary's skills were always a standout. He also played a key role in managing material handling, making countless trips from San Francisco to San Jose and Sacramento to ensure everything was delivered on time, enabling Edlen to produce seamless events.
Beyond his skills, Gary is truly a kind soul and a friend to all on our team. His warmth, generosity and positive attitude have made him a beloved part of our Edlen family.
After an extraordinary 33 years in "show business," we are excited to announce that Jim Linford has also retired.
Jim's journey began in 1991 with his first show at CES, and over the years, he established himself as a true leader in the industry. He eventually made his way to Edlen Las Vegas, where he worked alongside General Foremen John Carter and Jimmie Liles at Mandalay Bay. Jim later relocated to the SF Bay area and in 2017, he returned to Edlen, joining the San Francsico team working alongside General Foreman Greg Russie.
Known for his exceptional electrical knowledge and his ability to navigate the most complex technical challenges, Jim earned the respect of all who worked with him. His unparalleled problem-solving skills were key to the success of many demanding events, from CONEXPO-CON/AGG to Databricks and IBM Think. His CAD genius and calm, thoughtful approach made him a trusted figure in the industry.
We've been incredibly fortunate to have Jim finish his remarkable journey with Edlen, and his legacy will forever be a part of our team.
Thank you to both Gary and Jim for their years of service, dedication and all the memories they've helped to create along the way. Their commitment to the Edlen family has been truly appreciated, and we all wish you nothing but happiness and well-deserved relaxation. Enjoy your retirement!
