Edlen's own Julie Pazina has been elected to serve District 12 in the Nevada State Senate. She ran a successful campaign focusing on job creation, boosting economic development and creating long-term, good-paying jobs for her community. Julie will work to expand Nevada's tourism footprint and ensure that Las Vegas maintains its status as the #1 Destination for trade shows and hospitality in the nation. Julie will be serving as a member of multiple committees and will be chairing the Natural Resources committee.
For sixteen years, Julie has held an important leadership role at Edlen and is dedicated to expanding Edlen's network nationwide. She is an active member of the International Association of Exhibitions & Events (IAEE) and the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), representing Edlen on local and national committees within each organization. In 2011, Julie was awarded IAEE's Young Professional of the Year and she received the Woman of Achievement award in 2019. She served as a member of the Nevada Conservation League Board and was appointed by the Governor to the Commission on Tourism and the Commission's COVID-19 Recovery Committee.
Julie served on the Board of the Las Vegas Hospitality Association for six years including her tenure as President in 2013. She is also a member of the Junior League of Las Vegas and is an active community volunteer. Julie was raised in Atlanta and moved to Las Vegas in 2002. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Political Science and Communication Studies. Julie and her husband Joel live in Henderson, Nevada with their golden retriever Henry.
